Aeronautica Militare Italiana, August 05, 2018 - Today Sunday, a helicopter HH-139 of the 83rd CSAR Group (Combat Search and Rescue) of the 15th Wing of the Italian Air Force based at Cervia, Ravenna took off for the search for a 51-year-old man who went missing on the Asiago Plateau, Veneto
Air Operations Command (COA) at Poggio Renatico, Ferrara which is responsible for activating the search and rescue service of the Italian Air Force, received a support request by the CNSAS (National Mountain Rescue Service, Soccorso Alpino) of Veneto. The helicopter took off at about 09:20 to reach the "Val Formica" shelter on the Asiago plateau where it pick up some CNSAS operators for a joint search.
The man was found at about 12.30 and thanks to the successful team effort of the helicopter crew from Cervia and the rescue team of the CNSAS.
