Leonardo at Avalon 2017

Leonardo, February 28, 2017 - From February 28 to March 5, Leonardo is participating at the Australian International Airshow and Aerospace & Defence Exposition 2017, one of the most important exhibitions in the Asian-Pacific region, attracting major aerospace and defence industries and military and government representatives from around the world.

At the show, Leonardo is present with a stand and a chalet, and exhibiting some of its most significant capabilities in the helicopter, aeronautics and defence electronic sectors:

- AW139 in EMS (Emergency Medical Service) configuration,
- AW109 GrandNew,
- C-27J military aircraft,
- electro-optic system Nerio ULR Camera and a demo video of the SkyISTAR,
- advanced integrated sensor mission management system, specifically, for UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles).

Leonardo has been operating in Australia for more than 50 years, during which the Company has supplied to the Country products and solutions for both the civil and military markets, among which over 70 helicopters of various models including the AW119, the AW109 (Power, Grand, and GrandNew versions), the AW139 and the AW169; ten C-27J tactical airlifters purchased by the Royal Australian Air Force; and maritime communication systems.
