European Rotors 2022
European Rotors, November 08, 2022 - Cologne, Germany — The second edition of EUROPEAN ROTORS opens this morning with a very positive outlook.

The number of exhibitors has increased by 31%, ticket sales also raised significantly and the show has expanded by offering several training opportunities on Monday before the show days from 8 to 10 November.

“These increases demonstrate that we have developed the right event for the European VTOL industry,” says Dr. Frank Liemandt, show director. “In just two years, EUROPEAN ROTORS has become the second biggest rotorcraft event in the world. Thanks to EHA and EASA being the co-organisers and HAI as service providers we really can provide what the industry needs.”

With a continued commitment by the global helicopter industry, the next edition of EUROPEAN ROTORS will run from 28–30 November 2023 in Madrid, Spain. That show will be held in the IFEMA MADRID convention centre, 10 minutes from the Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport (LEMD). More information will be released in the coming weeks. EHA and EASA expect future shows will be hosted by additional countries in Europe.

EUROPEAN ROTORS was established through an agreement between the European Helicopter Association (EHA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the European regulator. The two organisations continue to build a strong working relationship that benefits the entire vertical aviation community.

Christian Müller, EHA Chairman says: “After two very successful editions of EUROPEAN ROTORS in Cologne, Germany, we are delighted to give our regional members the opportunity to showcase themselves as key partners in the leading European VTOL event. Our goal is to feature the rotorcraft business throughout regions of Europe, and we are excited to announce that our first destination away from Cologne will be Madrid, Spain,

"EUROPEAN ROTORS 2021 gave us, as regulators, a glimpse of the benefits of bringing together our established Rotorcraft and VTOL Safety Symposium with a trade exhibition, says David Solar, Head of the General Aviation and VTOL Department at EASA. "The collaboration between the European Helicopter Association (EHA) and EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) showed how a wider group of visitors can benefit both organisations and present a very attractive single-site concept for the rotorcraft community in Europe."

EUROPEAN ROTORS will continue to cover all aspects of the rotorcraft industry, including its many stakeholders and its technologies, methodologies, and innovations. All mission types are covered, including air ambulance offshore police and public safety, aerial work, finance and leasing, passenger transport, and advanced air mobility.

EUROPEAN ROTORS benefits from the strong support of market-leading OEMs, including Airbus, Bell, Leonardo, Safran, Boeing, Pratt & Whitney, Robinson, Entrol, among others.

About EUROPEAN ROTORS : EUROPEAN ROTORS, The VTOL Show and Safety Conference, brings together every aspect of the rotorcraft industry in Europe. The event sees the European Helicopter Association (EHA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) partnering to bring to the helicopter industry the most substantial trade show outside the United States.

With three parallel conference streams and dedicated areas for electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, autonomous operations, and other key technologies, EUROPEAN ROTORS is already the go-to event for suppliers of helicopters, parts, services, and every other aspect of the industry.
