BIH / HeliSpeed Extends Contract for Falklands AW189

British International Helicopters (BIH) in 5-year extension partnership with HeliSpeed for the search and rescue (SAR) MoD contract in the Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas)

Team BIH/AAR signed 10-year contract with UK MoD in 2016 for SAR and support operations in the islands. HeliSpeed provides helicopter pilots, engineers and technical crew for the AW189 / S-61 helicopters based at RAF Mount Pleasant

HeliSpeed, July 14, 2021 - British International Helicopters (BIH) extends partnership with global aviation support specialists, HeliSpeed, supporting its search and rescue (SAR) operations in the Falkland Islands.

The extended five-year agreement cements a long-term partnership between global aviation business, HeliSpeed, and BIH. HeliSpeed will continue to provide helicopter pilots, engineers and technical crew from their growing network of over 2,500 aviation professionals.
