Pratt & Whitney Canada Europe (joint venture of P&WC and MTU Germany) and Gulf Helicopters opened the Middle East Support Base as Premium Service Provider (PSP) for Pratt & Whitney in the region
Gulf Helicopters, April 26, 2017 - In a ceremony held in Gulf Helicopters HQ in Doha, State of Qatar, Pratt & Whitney Canada Customer Service Centre Europe GmbH (a Joint venture of P&WC and MTU Germany) announced the inauguration of its Middle East Support Base at Gulf Helicopters the Premium Service Provider (PSP) for Pratt & Whitney in the region, the ceremony were attended by top officials of both companies.
With this inauguration taken effect, Gulf Helicopters will be able to provide Pratt & Whitney’s services to operators throughout the Middle East, provide Mobile Repair Team (MRT) and Line Maintenance options for PT6T, PT6C & PW207E Helicopter Engines from its base in Doha, State of Qatar.
During the official inauguration, Mr. Mohamed Al Mohannadi, Gulf Helicopters CEO & Board Member announced that, the goal for this new achievement is to provide these services to our own fleet of helicopters and third party operators, but most important is to transfer the know-how of this high level technology, for the first time in Qatar and the region, to our young generation, who are interested in Aviation Industry, which goes in line with the Qatar 2030 vision, not to mention the support to the Qatari economy.
Mr. Al Mohannadi also added that, Pratt & Whitney has always been a partner that we counted on, for nearly 35 years, and with this inaugural, we are cementing the relationship for more years to come.
