Helibras, October 22, 2018 - São Paulo - Helibras delivered two H135 aircraft to the Integrated Air Operations Coordination (Ciopaer) of the Brazilian State of Ceará.
The two multi-mission helicopters are the first H135 with Helionix in police version in the world and will strengthen the public security of Ceará, besides providing support in aeromedical operations in the interior of the state.
"These deliveries reinforce our partnership with the Government of Ceará and expand CIOPAER's twin turbine fleet of Airbus aircraft, demonstrating the excellent cost-benefit of these models. We appreciate CIOPAER's confidence in our products and services, "said Richard Marelli, President of Helibras and Head of Country Airbus in the country.
The H135 is one of Airbus Helicopters' most successful lightweight helicopters with low noise, versatility and low cost. The aircraft have the innovative Helionix® system, which offers greater flexibility to ensure safety in operations. With a much more modern human-machine interface (HMI), the Helionix® features four-axis autopilot and displays all flight parameters as well as aircraft management data on a single screen. The Part Time Display briefly displays these parameters, allowing the pilot to quickly assess the situation, which reduces on-board workload and increases mission focus.
"The pilot's work is facilitated by the stability of the aircraft, keeping it fixed at the same point," points out Ciopaer's public relations, Lieutenant Colonel Marcus Costa. "It has the capacity to transport two pilots and five crew, flight autonomy of more than three hours and special equipment such as: searchlight; electric winch; kit for rescue and infrared camera, "the official added.
CIOPAER already operates six Airbus helicopters, two AS350s and four biturbines (EC135 and EC145). The state also has local support from Helibras with the permanent presence of a technical assistant, as well as the support of a partner workshop in Fortaleza.
More than 200 H135 family helicopters are on duty in police missions around the world. The global H135 fleet with more than 1,270 helicopters in operation has already reached about 5 million flight hours.
