Ecocopter, August 04, 2021 - Santiago de Chile - For three years, Ecocopter has been the only company in Chile to operate an Airbus H145. Now the company has added a second “titan of the air” with state-of-the-art technology to its fleet.
The H145’s safety features and power characteristics in high altitude conditions make it the ideal twin-engine helicopter for Chile’s utility market. Ecocopter has found the H145 to be especially well-suited for the mining sector, which currently accounts for 95% of the aircraft’s operations.
Before starting operations, Ecocopter’s new H145 will undergo scheduled maintenance as indicated in the manufacturer’s manual and the company’s seal will be painted on its exterior.
The aircraft will begin its certification process with Directorate General of Civil Aeronautics (DGAC) of Chile. Ecocopter crews will be trained in expectation that the aircraft will be operational by the last quarter of the year.
The H145 not only has outstanding capabilities for different operations, but also has great performance at high altitudes, allowing it to carry precision loads of large tonnage. Its four-bladed main rotor has a low acoustic level and is optimal for missions of all types, especially in hostile environments and congested areas, such as large cities. In Chile, it will provide services for industrial, passenger and air cargo work.
