Donaldson, December 16, 2020 - Donaldson Aerospace & Defense, a division of the Donaldson Company, Inc., has received additional supplemental type certificate (STC) approvals for installation of its industry-leading inlet barrier filter (IBF) system on helicopters in three countries.
Acquired at the request of the helicopters’ original equipment manufacturers, the approvals were received from the Japanese Civil Aviation Bureau for the Bell 407, Indonesia’s Ministry of Civil Aviation for the Leonardo AW119, and Ecuador’s Civil Aviation Director General for the AS350.
Donaldson’s popular and reliable IBFs protect engines and help maintain strong performance by preventing particulates and contaminants, including very small diameter sand/ramp grit and salt spray, from damaging the turbine.
Donaldson’s systems are currently used by operators worldwide in corporate, law enforcement, military, rescue, firefighting, and utility missions. Donaldson’s working partnership with the original equipment manufacturers is a testament to the design, quality, and value Donaldson systems provide end users.
