Air Rescue Concepts, March 19, 2015 - Air Rescue Concepts (ARC) recently completed a week long evaluation and training opportunity with Las Vegas Nevada Metro Police Departments (LVMPD) SAR aviation unit.
Serving over 8000 square miles in Clark County Nevada, LVMPD SAR officers and pilots perform helicopter-based rescues in some of the most inhospitable terrain in the country.
ARC reviewed the units Safety management system, currency tracking, training, and aircraft maintenance programs. A factory trained Goodrich hoist mechanic inspected their internal hoist and provide maintenance training.
Additionally both day and night hoist operations were observed and evaluated. LVMPD was also introduced to new rescue devices and techniques.
“LVMPD SAR are solid operators and are very committed and professional rescuers,” said Kevin Loomis ARC director of operations.
