Brazilian Navy, January 28, 2022 - On January 22 the Brazilian Navy received from Helibrás the second Super Cougar helicopter in the AH-15B variant.
The helicopter received the serial N-4102 and is the thirteenth H225M aircraft to be incorporated into the Naval Aviation fleet under the “H-XBR” program.
This variant was developed especially for the Navy being the most complex of all the Brazilian Armed Force H225M aircraft.
It features state-of-the-art embedded systems, including the ability to launch Exocet AM39 B2M2 anti-ship missiles, chaff and flare protection system, APS-143 tactical radar and FLIR Star Safire III equipment, all integrated into the Naval Tactical Data Management System (N-TDMS).
The delivery of this second helicopter represents an important reinforcement in the defense and surveillance capacity of the “Blue Amazon”.
