Helis, November 11, 2021 - RNZAF Ohakea, NZ - The Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) NH90 helicopter serial 3302 was the first in the world of its type to reach 2,000 flying hours.
A RNZAF announcement states “Our high serviceability rates allow us to fly more hours per aircraft than any other nation - enabled by our maintenance, logistics & engineering teams”.
Helicopter serial 3302, construction number 1206 / TNZA02, was first delivered to New Zealand on December 6, 2011.
The RNZAF operates 9 NH90 helicopters of the TTH configuration manufactured by the NHIndustries consortium formed by Airbus Helicopters, Leonardo Helicopters and Fokker.
The NH90 was introduced into RNZAF service in 2013 operated by 3 Squadron based out of Ohakea as a replacement of the legendary Bell UH-1H Iroquois
