Rotortrade Expands in U.S. EMS with Strategic H145D3 Deals
Helis, March 24, 2026 - Latrobe, Pennsylvania — Following a successful showing at Verticon in Atlanta, Rotortrade has announced continued expansion in the United States, with a strong focus on the emergency medical services (EMS) sector.

The company recently completed and announced two Airbus H145D3 transactions, underscoring both its commercial momentum and its growing role as an integrated aviation partner. Two aircraft have been delivered to Life Flight Network (LFN), marking a significant milestone in Rotortrade’s establishment within the U.S. market. The helicopters are currently undergoing final preparation at Rotortrade’s MRO facility in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, ahead of their entry into service later this year.

In parallel, Rotortrade finalized an agreement with CareFlite that highlights its ability to deliver comprehensive, end-to-end solutions. In addition to CareFlite’s acquisition of two Airbus H145D3 helicopters, the project included the trade-in of existing assets and the implementation of an interim lease-back solution, ensuring uninterrupted operations during the fleet transition.

This integrated approach—combining aircraft sales, asset management, leasing, and technical coordination—reflects Rotortrade’s evolving strategy to support operators with flexible and tailored solutions.

Both projects were supported by Rotortrade’s fully operational MRO facility in Latrobe, which plays a key role in aircraft importation, customization, and mission readiness. The facility represents a cornerstone of the company’s commitment to the U.S. market, enabling closer proximity to customers and enhanced responsiveness.

As Rotortrade continues to expand its presence across North America, the company remains focused on delivering practical, customer-centric solutions that extend beyond traditional transactions.

Rotortrade’s U.S. team is available to engage with operators seeking tailored aviation solutions across the EMS and broader helicopter sectors.

Life Flight Network

Life Flight Network is the largest not-for-profit air medical transport service in the United States, providing critical care across the Pacific Northwest, Intermountain West, and Hawaii. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Aurora, Oregon, it is owned by leading healthcare systems including Legacy Health, Oregon Health & Science University, Providence Health & Services, and Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center.

Operating a fleet of helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft, and ground ambulances, the network functions as a true "mobile ICU," delivering advanced interventions such as blood transfusions and neonatal care directly to patients in remote areas. Known for its high safety and clinical standards, it has received multiple industry honors, including the Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS) Program of the Year award.

To reduce the financial burden of emergency transport, Life Flight Network offers a membership program that eliminates out-of-pocket costs for medically necessary flights. Supported by its foundation, the organization ensures access to life-saving care regardless of geography.

CareFlite

CareFlite is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit medical transport provider based in Grand Prairie, Texas, and one of the oldest joint-use air medical programs in the United States. Established in 1979, it is backed by major North Texas healthcare systems including Baylor Scott & White Health, Methodist Health System, Parkland Health, Texas Health Resources, and JPS Health Network.

CareFlite operates a mixed fleet of Bell helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft, and over 80 ground ambulances, supporting emergency response and inter-facility transport across more than 100 counties in North and Central Texas.

Its Caring-Heart Membership program provides financial protection to over 375,000 members, covering out-of-pocket costs for medically necessary transport. In some communities, the program is available for as little as $1 per month via utility billing. Beyond aviation, CareFlite also serves as a primary emergency services provider in areas such as Hill and Kaufman Counties and the city of Balch Springs.
