Brazilian Navy, May 20, 2021 - On May 10 the 1st Anti-Submarine Helicopter Squadron (EsqdHS-1) reached 8,000 flight hours with the SH-16 Seahawk aircraft.
The historic mark took place during an anti-submarine warfare (ASW) training exercise which represents the Squadron's main mission: “to detect, locate, track and attack submarines and surface targets in order to contribute to the protection of the naval forces”.
In the same month in which it completes 56 years of its creation, the EsqdHS-1 Squadron achieves this important milestone which was initiated with the arrival of the first SH-16 aircraft in August 2012.
