Helis, March 02, 2020 - UMS SKELDAR, the joint venture between Swedish company Saab and Swiss UMS AERO GROUP was present at the Middle East’s only event dedicated to drones, robotics and unmanned systems, UMEX, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
UMS SKELDAR’s featured it newest unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), the V-150, which is currently used by emergency, defense, surveillance and security operations worldwide supporting a wide range of police, coast guards, border patrol and civilian agencies.
The V-150 is a an easy-to-use, low maintenance drone which can performed same critical tasks that ordinarily would involve manned crews at a higher cost.
The company is now focus on the V-200 following major contracts awarded by the German Navy and Royal Canadian Navy.
UMS SKELDAR began in its current form in March 2016 with just 36 employees. The company is headquartered near Basel in Switzerland, with twin manufacturing facilities in Switzerland (Möhlin) and Sweden (Linköping) and offers a comprehensive unmanned aerial systems (UAS) solutions portfolio and training programmes including a UK’ Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) certification from RUSTA academy.
