From 8 Jun a concentration of UK, Commonwealth and World warships began for 15 Jun 1953 at Spithead, to mark the Coronation of HM Queen Elizabeth II. Included a naval flypast lead by Dragonfly of 705 Naval Air Squadron. (At the time, most of the squadrons listed below operated fixed wing types).
