Nations participating in BALTOPS 2019 included Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The initial planning conference was held in Gydnia in early Dec 2018. This was the 47th year of the exercise partnership.
US Marines of 22 Marine Expeditionary Unit (22 MEU) took part in a number of amphibious assaults with NATO partner nations throughout BALTOPS 19, including that near Kallaste in Estonia, with Romanian Marines.
