    Headquartered at Edinburgh Parks, South Australia but operating from sites across the country, their history traces back to 1953 when British s Bristol Aeroplane Company and the English Electric Company carried out testing of the first generation air defence missile systems at the Woomera Test Range in South Australia. In 1961 both companies merged to become the British Aircraft Corporation ( BAC) which was nationalized in 1977 with the Australian branch renamed British Aerospace Australia.

    In April 1996, British Aerospace Australia doubled in size with the purchase of AWA Defence Industries (AWADI). In November 1999, British Aerospace with GEC Marconi Electronic Systems merged. In June 2008 purchased Tenix Defence.

    Nowadays, the company s programs involved the F-35; Hawk 127 Lead-In Fighter fleet; Seahawk, Black Hawk and Chinook rotary wing aircraft and commercial aircraft maintenance solutions.
