Previously known as the Narcotics Affair Section Air Support Wing - Guatemala, this unit was born when the US Department of Space gave 6 UH-1H II helicopters to the Guatemalan Police Department. Helicopters were nationalized in 2013 and became FIAAT. Crews are Guatemalan Air Force mostly, with a small number of Police pilots and crew. Maintenance is provided by a small force similarly formed. Unit started flying again in 2020 after the helicopters were sent for maintenance and returned successfully
