The Koku Gakko is the Training Wing for the JGSDF. It has responsibility for all aspects of training and test & evaluation, as well as post depot level maintenance check flights. The HQ is located in Akeno (RJOE), with detachments at Utsunomiya (RJTU), Kasumigaura (RJAK), and Fuji-Takigahara (RJAT). Aircraft are coded either S, SD, SK, or SU.
