1965-1969 Sgt. Michael Cook. 6515 FMS. U42251, Mechanical Equipment Repair Specialists later changed to Environmental Control Specialist. Aircraft maintained, F111A, F104, T38, B57, F106, C130, B52 and a few more. As Civilian Lockheed and Rockwell B-1 project.
Sep68-Sep69, I served as a Airman at Edwards. The Jolly Green CH3E tail number 577 was my assigned Helicopter. It was destroyed on a Secret Mission in Vietnam in 1973. -

1973-74, Admin Officer for 6515th OMS. I am Mandell Winter, Jr. Maj Hoschild was commander. We maintained B-52 008, pre-production F-4 models, A-7 models, and a few F-104s (soon to be dropped, followed by the A-7s) Final testing of F-15 was going on. YF-16 and YF-17 as well as A-9 and A-10 were in fly-off competition. First B-1 landed at Edwards while I was there. Nearly the last lifting body flight took place while I was the Admin officer of 6515 FMS, Maj. Mike Love at the controls. Compass Cope RPV was being tested while I was there.
Sep78-May82, My name is Curt Rose, I was Stationed at Edwards in the 6515th Field maintanance squadron in the aero-repair section, preforming heavy maintanance on F-4, F-15, F-16, T-38 and A-37 aircraft. Duties also included crash recovery
1979-1981, I was stationed at Edwards and I worked on T-38's Jeff Holmes SRA
1983-1986 - SRA Chris Cramer. I was there from early 1983 thru late June 1986 in the 6515th AMS, Radio Repair (32850). We worked A-37s, T-38s, F-4s, A-10s, KC-135s, C-130s, UH-1H and UH-1Ns and O-2s. For all those aircraft, we worked them on the Flight Line as well as shop repairs. We also often worked equipment from most of the other aircraft at Edwards at that time but we did not do Flight Line maintenance on them because they were either assigned to Integrated, or SI. Miss those days a lot!
