The 70th Trans was comprised of HHC, B Co, 56th AVN Co and the 205th AVN Co. I was assigned to B Co from 1984 to 1988 as the Avionics Section OIC. B Co was primarily staffed by local civilian technicians and supervisors, many of which, had over 25 years of experience in aviation. We supported OH-58, UH-1, UH-60, CH-47, U-21, C-12 (limited support) and an occassional Cobra. Military staff were assigned, in small numbers, in most areas of B Co. DYNA CORPS ran a program for CH-47s during this timeframe. This was a very unique and highly capable unit. It was an honor to have been assigned there.

It was the 207th avn company not the 205th avn company. I served in 56th avn company and HHC from 1988 to 1990.
