Pale Horse served from January 31, 1967 to October 27, 1969 to provide refresher training to UH-34 Sea Horse pilots and crews heading to Vietnam.

May68 ; I was there when HMM 561 formed up in May of '68. We split from HMH 301 ( CH 53's ) Lt. Bly was the C.O. of HMM 561. He was an asshole to his men. Extremely arrogant and a disgrace to Marine Officers by the way he conducted himself. He finally left the Marines and joined the Army!!!
1967-1969, Captain Bly was the commander when I was there . If you were there then, you will remember the "Magnificant Seven". No one walked on Captain Bly's lawn and all moles were destroyed and burried. Ergo "The Magnificant Seven" The Last UH-34 Marine Squadron.........Great guys and great memories. Lumpy -
