2012-mar UK HMS Iron Duke F234 Frigate Type 23 Duke class entered an 11 month refit in Portsmouth, to include installation of the Type 997 ARTISAN surveillance radar (first Type 23 to receive this new 3D radar).
2012-dec UK HMS Ocean L12 Assault Carrier Ocean class entered 10 Dock at HMD Devonport with Babcock for 15 month major upkeep and upgrade programme. Includes new Type 997 Artisan radar, 30mm guns, IT and environmental systems, with a new 20kt top speed. Came out of dry dock on 31 Jul 2013 and is due to complete 2014.
2013-oct-20 UK HMS Argyll F231 Frigate Type 23 Duke class pictured in HMNB Devonport under maintenance, including installation of the Type 997 ARTISAN surveillance radar (second Type 23 to receive this new 3D radar).
2013-oct-28 UK HMS Sutherland F81 Frigate Type 23 Duke class commenced planned 11 month refit at HMD Devonport, to include a new command system and the Type 997 Artisan radar. After re-flooding the dry dock in May and emerging from the covered complex in early Oct 2014, completed refit in Mar 2015.
2014-feb-06 UK HMS Monmouth F235 Frigate Type 23 Duke class at HMD Devonport with Babcock for fitting Artisan 3D radar and improving Seawolf system, amongst other work, until 6 Jul 2015. Returned to the Fleet in Nov 2015.
2014-oct-17 UK HMS Montrose F236 Frigate Type 23 Duke class at HMD Devonport with Babcock for fitting Sea Ceptor, Artisan 3D radar and improving the command system, amongst other internal and external work. Returned to sea in Jun 2017.
2014-nov UK HMS Westminster F237 Frigate Type 23 Duke class Type 23 Mid Life Upgrade: refit at HMD Portsmouth (15 Dock), including new Command Systems and Artisan 3D radar fit, by BAE Systems. Refloated 8 Oct 2015. Sea Wolf replaced by Sea Ceptor. Completed Jan 2017.
2015 UK HMS Albion L14 Landing Ship/Platform Dock Albion class refit at Babcock, Devonport to bring ship out of extended readiness, includes Type 997 radar, addtion of Phalanx CIWS, improvements to propulsion and fire detection systems.
