Embarked Wessex HU.5 XT449 / C and XT461 / W of 845 NAS E Flt for two days of working up. The Flight returned to Yeovilton before re-embarking on 26 Apr.
1982-apr-26DeploymentDeployment South Atlantic Operation Corporate Departed Weymouth Bay for South Atlantic with 845 Squadron E Flt embarked and an 846 Squadron airframe, joining in the English Channel. Left theatre on 26 Jun 1982.
1986-oct-22DeploymentDeployment departed HMNB Portsmouth for Middle East and Gulf of Arabia deployment. Embarked 40 Commando Royal Marines and 2x Sea King HC.4 from 846 NAS and returned Dec 1986.
1986-nov-20DeploymentDeployment Arabian Sea Participated in Exercise Saif Sareea 86 between 20 and 30 Nov 1986, off Masirah Island.
1990-marDeploymentDeployment in Northern Norway (Bodo / Tromso areas) to support Exercise Cold Winter 90, with much of 3 CDO BDE embarked (minus helicopters).
1991-aprStruckStruck HMD Portsmouth Laid up Laid up for long term storage at Portsmouth. Some equipment canabalised for use in HMS Fearless.
