1963-05-04 A Long Merarap Accident w/o 4 May 1963 nr Lawas (Tusan Valley) in Borneo, while with 66 Sq. This was a catalyst for grounding the Belvedere fleet for 2 months while investigations were carried out. Sycamore HR.14 XL822 was subsequently sent to investigate the crash site. 66 Squadron Konfrontasi
1963-09 Cinderford. I built the Memorial at Long Merarap in September 1963
In 1995 I revisited, reburied the dead in 1995 and held a Memorial Service in 1996 for the Next of Kin. Hugh Cave. 22563557 WOII RE retired in 1966
2018-04-10 Remains - exhibit 10 Apr 2018 partial fuselage section and rotor blade fragments in the Special Forces: In the shadows temporary exhibition at the National Army Museum. (Tentative identification from crash date on exhibit caption).

This was the aircraft that my step dad's father was flying (Flt Lt A. P. J. Dodson) I've just informed him what I found (the wreckage being at the national army museum) If there is any more information surrounding this, I'd love to know. It carries a great deal of sentiment to the family.
