Based on the robust and highly versatile RAF Wessex HC.2, the HCC.4 was given a VVIP interior, and had a special navigation systems fit, which included the (at the time) innovative Decca moving map display.

Purchased by The Helicopter Museum, Weston-super-Mare in Nov 2001. This was the first time the Heritage Lottery Fund had ever been used to purchase a helicopter. 15 Nov 2001 delivered to the Museum. To become the second Queens Flight helicopter (a Whirlwind HCC.12 is there) in the collection
