The EC175 is a joint venture between Eurocopter and China Aviation Industries (AVIC) where is know as Z-15 / Avicopter AC352.

Fitted with Helionix, is a twin engine medium size helicopter with a gross weight of 7 ton, it fells on the category of the AW.139

First flew on December 17, 2009 and with initial deliveries first expected by 2012.

Produced at the Eurocopter plant at Marignane, France.

First buyers Bristow and VIH Aviation Group announced as early in 2008 but global launch custormer was NHV in 2014

As of 2010, a total of 114 EC175 have been pre-ordered by 14 customers.

Broke time to climb world record, 6000m in 6m54sec

On May 2014 maximum take-off weight (MTOW) has risen to 7,800 kg, offering an additional payload of 300 kg or an additional 40nm/74km radius of action.
Airframes from c/n 5002 designated as EC175B. From March 2015 type redesignated as H175
