In 2007 the British Ministry of Defence acquired six of the Danish EH101 to alleviate a shortfall in British service. In exchange, the British have ordered six new-build for the Royal Danish Air Force
The first EH101 was delivered to Esk 722 in Oct 2005, used as a SAR helicopter it replaced to RDAF Sea Kings.

Safran to Support Danish EH101 Engines, 27-Jul-16 : Safran Helicopter Engines signed 7 year contract to support 14 Royal Danish Air Force (RDAF)’s RTM 322-powered EH101 helicopters

Danish EH101 flew with new EW suite, 20-Dec-13 : Aarhus, Denmark - Terma and the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO) recently conducted a successful flight test of the Electronic Warfare (EW) equipment fielded on the Royal Danish Air Force’ (RDAF) EH-101 TTT helicopters.

EW equipment for RDAF EH-101s, 25-Oct-12 : Euronaval 2012, Paris - Terma and the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO) recently signed a contract for upgrading the Electronic Warfare (EW) suite on the Air Force’ TTT Westland 101 Merlin helicopters (EH-101).

Six Danish EH101 Helicopters goes to the RAF, 30-Mar-07 : UK / Italy - AgustaWestland and the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) have today signed an agreement to modify six EH101 Merlin helicopters the MoD are buying from Denmark, to provide additional helicopter support for the UK armed forces. The agreement also includes the purchase of six new build EH101 Merlin helicopters that will be delivered by the MoD to the Royal Danish Air Force to replace the original aircraft.
