History of this Model in this Organisation:

Initial order for 11 SH-3G(A) Super Seasprites produced ex US Navy machines for use in the Anti-Surface Warfare role. Equipped with twin GE T700-GE-401 turboshafts, the airframes also feature a Litton Integrated Tactcal Avionics System, Forward-looking IR and the Penguin anti-ship missile. Operate from the RAN ANZAC Class frigates (FFH).
First SH-2G provisionally accepted by RAN at Nowra on 18 Oct 2003, well behind schedule reportedly due to problems integrating the bespoke combat mission software with the radar, datalink and Penguin missile.
