Leonardo, October 17, 2017 - Leonardo is participating in ADEX 2017 (the Seoul International Aerospace and Defence Exhibition), from 17 to 22 October, one of the most renowned industry events in the Asia-Pacific region, involving 386 companies from 32 countries.
Leonardo is exhibiting a selection of products and technologies from its helicopter and airborne systems sectors at its stand (Hall B -Stand B82).
The Company will display AW159 and AW101 helicopter models, both in their naval versions, and the AW189 in its corporate configuration.
A leader in ISTAR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Target, Acquisition and Reconnaissance) systems, Leonardo is also exhibiting sophisticated airborne surveillance technologies that equip hundreds of platforms in-service around the world.
The products on display include, the Seaspray 7000E Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) multi-mode surveillance radar, part of a family of systems with over 600 units sold; the SEER, a radar warning receiver that alerts crews on potential threats from radar systems; the SAGE system that provides RF situational awareness; the BriteCloud Expendable Active Decoy RF countermeasure system; and the Miysis Directed InfraRed Countermeasure (DIRCM) missile defence system.
Also showcased, the IFF (Identification Friend/Foe) identification system, which is critical in distinguishing friendly forces from potential threats during missions; the Platform Interface Unit; and a demo display that illustrates all the Airborne & Space Systems Division’s capabilities. Finally, the stand includes a demo video of Leonardo’s technologies in the land and naval defence electronics field.
