Helis, April 22, 2019 - On April 17, Airbus Brazilian branch Helibras presented the mock-up H145M to the Brazilian Army Aviation at Taubaté, São Paulo.

The H145M is the military variant of the H145/EC145T2 which is the latest development of the popular EC145 helicopter. The H145 can be easily recognized by its new “Fenestron” tail rotor and is also fitted the 4-axis autopilot and avionics suite Helionix which significantly reduces the workload of the pilot.

In addition, the H145M can be fitted with the HForce weapon system adding light attack mission capabilities.

The H145M was first developed for the German special forces and since then has been also ordered by Thailand, Serbia, Luxembourg and Hungary.

Helibras is currently upgrading Brazilian Army’ 34 HM-1 Pantera to the AS565K2 variant to extend their life at least 25 years. The Army is also receiving 16 EC725.
