Dr. Michael Brunko representing the Air Medical Physician Association (AMPA) for the past 10 years, introduced AMPA’s new representative – Dr. P.S. Martin. He is currently the director, Division of Pre-hospital Medicine, at the West Virginia University School of Medicine and the state medical director for the WV Dept. of Health.
Patti Corbett represented Air & Surface Transport Nurses Association (ASTNA) for the past six years on the board of directors and will continue as a CAMTS site surveyor after her retirement from the board. Corbett introduced ASTNA’s new representative – Casey Seckel, RN. Seckel is currently the chief clinical officer for Life Flight Network in Boise, Idaho, and has many years’ experience as a civilian and military flight nurse.
Terry Palmer, well known in the helicopter industry, was a CAMTS aviation advisor who retired after 15 years of service. Michael Benton was introduced as the new aviation advisor for the CAMTS board of directors. Benton is the founder and president of VyClimb Consulting, LLC, a boutique consultancy providing management, strategy, operations, and safety services to a global list of clients centered around the aviation and air medical transport industries since 2015. Benton’s experience includes director of aviation compliance for Air Methods Corporation. He also served in the Army as a Korean linguist and interrogator before transitioning to become an OH-58D armed reconnaissance helicopter instructor pilot.

It comprises 21 member organisations, each of which delegates one representative to serve on the CAMTS Board of Directors. Periodically revises its standards in order to reflect the dynamic, constantly changing field of medical patient transport.
