Helis, June 08, 2018 - Wichita, Kansas - Spirit AeroSystems celebrated delivery of the final System Demonstration Test Article (SDTA) CH-53K King Stallion heavy-lift helicopter fuselage.
Spirit is responsible for building the composite cockpit and cabin and delivery of the entire fuselage to Sikorsky helicopter.
The US Marine Corps has 200 CH-53K aircraft on order and intends to stand up eight active duty squadrons, one training squadron and one reserve squadron to support operational requirements.
