CHC, October 18, 2018 - On October 12, the nation of Equatorial Guinea celebrated its 50th anniversary of its independence from Spain with a celebration and parade.
The event was attended by key figures such as the president, dignitaries from other countries, the military, various ministries, political parties, international invitees, and local and foreign companies across various industries, including aviation and energy.
A group of CHC’s employees from the Malabo base took part in the event and walked in the parade. Even a mid-route rainstorm couldn’t dampen their spirits or stop the celebration. The day also included an airshow and military marching events, followed by a celebration for the CHC team back at the base.
Amongst these giant companies were CHC who participated in their small numbers. The day commenced well but later the rains started but did not have an impact on the passion which individuals had for this parade. Airshows and military parade were amazing. At the end CHC local employees proceeded to enjoy local delicacy organized by the base.
“The pride of our team in Malabo is contagious and we are so glad they were able to represent CHC at this key moment in Equatorial Guinea’s history,” said Cameron Dixon, Director of Operations, Business Development. “We look forward to continuing to play a key role in offshore transport in EG for many years to come.”
