Helis, April 20, 2019 - A Bristow S-92 helicopter successfully completed a medical evacuation (MedEvac) from an oil tanker some 120 nautical miles offshore of Western Australia.
The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) Response Centre received the help request from 250m tanker Kriti Journey after a crew member suffered a broken leg.
Bristow’ base in Karratha, Western Australia provides helicopter transport to the oil and gas industry. As a core part of its services, Bristow also provides search and rescue (SAR) and medical evacuation services in most of the countries in which it operates.
The agency Bombardier Challenger 604 aircraft coordinate the rescue operation and filmed the following video.
