History of this Model in this Organisation:

In Jun 1965 it acquired its first helicopter, a Westland Scout new from Westland for patrol and ferry duties. A second Scout was obtained in 1966. Withdrawn from service in 1981.

The second airframe (serial BSP-2) was delivered in 1966 and wfu around 1981. Can anyone help with its c/n ? It has been quoted as F.9692 but this clashes with an Indonesian Navy AH-12A Wasp serial HS-433 (ex Dutch Navy 247).

GT: ex Bahrain Public Security Force BSP-1 following accident in 1977, for Wasp programme support. wfu 1995 ? Preserved at SAAF Museum, Port Elizabeth.
