    1968 UH-1E 6016 US 151281 : VMO-6 /WB-9, I was the crew chief, we went back to Lang Vey to get a SOG member left at the camp. We went alone and upon arriving at the camp we came under fire. The pilot, co-pilot and myself were wounded. We limped back to Khe Sahn. WB9 was lifted out but was jettisoned from ch-53 on way back to Quang Tri.     1968 UH-1F 7083 US 65-7942 : w/o 27nov68 Lost to enemy ground fire while attempting to insert a Special Operations reconnaissance squad in Cambodia. Door gunner SSgt Gene Stuifbergen was pinned under the wreckage and killed with four of the six man SF squad. His three crew members and two of the squad survived and were rescued. SSgt Stuifbergen's remains have yet to be recovered.
