MOG1 is a switching platform built in the North Sea, with high capacity undersea cables linking back to the Belgian onshore power grid at Stevin, nr Zeebrugge. It allows offshore wind farms (OWFs) to connect in to the OSY (offshore switch yard), rather than having to run individual cables all the way back to a landfall. By 2020, OWFs Rentel, SeaStar, Mermaid and Northwester 2 were connected.
