During 2017, the Dogger Bank Teesside B project was renamed Sofia. The OWF will consist of 100 turbines covering c 595 km2, in c 15 metres of water. Power generated will be sent via a pair of 120nm long cables to the onshore converter site near Lazenby. Once operational (due 2026), the site will be remotely controlled from Grimsby.
