Brisbane River Helipad was built on a floating pontoon on the river, near the Botanical Gardens by the Ciy Centre, in 1981. It operated light helicopters until an accident in Jul 2004 when the deck was punctured. The helipad is now out of use and metal obstructions are in place to prevent its accidental use.
