The Hornsea One complex began generation in Jun 2019, before construction of the entire farm was completed. The whole consists of 174 turbines covering c 410 sq km in average water depth of 35m, making it one of the largest European OWFs. Construction began in Jan 2018 and on 31 May 2019 an operations team left Grimsby Royal Docks in the Norwegian owned offshore support vessel Edda Mistral to begin generation.

CHC First Flight for Ørsted’s Hornsea Project One
24-Jan-18 - CHC and UNI-FLY started flying out of Humberside airport to support Ørsted’s Hornsea Project One. A combination of AW139 and AW169 will begin operations next April
