The L2-FA gas field was discovered in 1968 with production commencing in 1992 via the integrated L2-FA-1 platform. Subsequently, the L2-FB gas field was discovered in 1976 and brought into production, also via L2-FA-1 in 2006. In 2008 GDF Suez acquired the fields from NAM.
