The Museu da Liga dos Combatentes was opened on 15 Oct 2005 by the then Minister of National Defence, Dr Luis Filipe Marques Amado, on the 82nd anniversary of the League.
During Oct 2023, in addition to the Alouette III and the nose section of a Fiat G.91R in the outdoor area, there are also a number of fighting vehicles and artillery pieces. In an indoor exhibition, over several display boards, is a useful summary of the disengagement from its African colonies.
