Formerly the Smith Dock shipbuilding site, opened on the Tees South Bank in 1908.
During Oct 2023, A and P (Falmouth, Hebburn and Middlesbrough) and A and P Australia merged with Cammell Laird and Neway Industrial Services (a marine paint specialist, also in Birkenhead), to become APCL Group Ltd.
Following the merger, APCL closed its Teesside operation in mid 2024 and consolidated the work into its Tyneside business.
