In January 2025 Leonardo, the Royal Navy and the UK Ministry of Defence’s Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) Future Capability Innovation (FCI) team unveiled the design of the Proteus Uncrewed Rotorcraft Technology Demonstrator
Its first flight as a Royal Navy demonstrator was in Jan 2026 at Predannack.
