The TUSAŞ T925 is a 12-ton heavy-class multirole utility helicopter developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries. Sharing approximately 70 component commonality with the T929 ATAK 2 heavy-attack helicopter, it is designed to bridge the gap between light utility and heavy-lift platforms. The design was reworked in 2025 to feature a more aerodynamic fuselage.
While the T925 was originally conceived with a different look, it was officially redesigned in 2025 to more closely mirror the Black Hawks successful configuration. TAI has built the T-70 (the Turkish variant of the S-70i Black Hawk) under license since 2014, when the official manufacturing agreements were signed with Lockheed Martin.
As of early 2026, the first prototype has been completed, with a maiden flight scheduled for late 2026 and service entry projected for 2028. The Turkish General Directorate of Forestry is the launch customer for firefighting variants, with planned naval versions featuring folding rotors.
