In April 2018, the US Embassy in Costa Rica announced a $43M donation by the International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) of 4 UH-1N ( called them UH-1ST) to the Costa Rican Air Surveillance Agency (SVA) of the Ministry of Public Security. The donation includes training and refurbishment which could last up to four months per helicopter.
