2012 to present
On December 2009 a €78.6 million contract was signed for 5 Cougars in different variants: 2 in basic troop transport configuration, 1 Medevac, 1 SAR and 1 VIP.
The first aircraft, VIP configured, crashed during test flight on July 2012 killing all six Eurocopter employees on board. This was replaced with a new order for 2 EC145 instead.
