Argentina Shows Interest in Twelve H215 Helicopters
Argentina signed a letter of intent (LoI) with France for the acquisition of twelve Airbus H215 (AS332L1e) helicopters for the Army
The H215 is the latest variant of the AS332 Super Puma refurbished by Airbus in Romania with a glass cockpit and with Makila 1A1 engines. An armed variant known as the H215M can be equipped with the HForce suite. However, current military customers have demonstrated a preference for the H145M and H225M which are most modern models
Within the framework of the International Aeronautics and Space Salon "Paris Air Show 2023" that took place in Paris-Le Bourget, the Ministry of Defense led by Jorge Taiana signed a letter of intent with the French Ministry of the Armed Forces , Sébastien Lecornu, for the acquisition of Airbus H215 helicopters for the Armed Forces.
In the pavilion of the Ministry of Armaments of France -of this air exhibition and international aviation business fair- that is held every odd year at the Le Bourget airport, near Paris, on June 22, the head of the Air Force, Brigadier General Xavier Julián Isaac, brought the letter of intent signed by Minister Taiana and during a meeting with French Minister Sébastien Lecornu, the agreement was signed by which Argentina expresses its interest in advancing in the purchase of twelve of those medium helicopters to the French company Airbus Helicopters.
This heading is part of the Defense Cooperation Agreement between the governments of the Republic of France and the Republic of Argentina, signed in Paris on October 14, 1998.
