Eurocopter, March 07, 2013 - by Erin Callender - During a ceremony on the booth, Eurocopter announced that Vector Aerospace has been approved as a certified Eurocopter service center for the Super Puma AS332 helicopter family.
The approval certificate was presented by Eurocopter President and CEO Lutz Bertling to Declan O’Shea, the President and CEO of Vector Aerospace – Eurocopter’s sister company.
This certification includes O&I and I+ level airframe servicing, and allows Vector to perform major inspections, upgrades and retrofits on all AS332 Super Puma models. The primary focus will be on helicopters based in North America and registered by the Federal Aviation Administration.
“We are very proud to be an official Eurocopter service center for this aircraft,” said O’Shea. “This is the culmination of a lot of hard work from a lot of people, and it really recognizes what Eurocopter and Vector can accomplish together in this market segment. We are delighted that this will now put us as a player in the heavy maintenance market and feel we will be very competent for upgrades and overhauls on this helicopter type.”
